The Deceiving Battle was the first chapter of The Battle of Trost.
Summary
Blue Team leads a large scale ground assault against a massive Covenant force while John-A222 leads the Delta Forti Fleet against hostile battle group of Covenant cruisers. Agent Bedragare moves to destroy a Covenant spire as Sublime Transcendence emerges from slipspace, followed by two enemy supercarriers and numerous cruisers. Hours later, several Spartans can be seen falling from the hostile supercarriers and the ships suddenly explode. The battlefield turns into a fiery hell as debris cause both sides to retreat. The Spartans are recovered. Many sustain serious injuries.
